<p>Before joining the Wellness program, I thought my diet wasn’t too bad. Boy, was I wrong!&nbsp; I was eating lots of pasta, bread, and dairy products.&nbsp; To make matters worse, I was drinking massive amounts of Diet Coke (caffeine-free &#8211; HA) and chain-chewing sugarless gum.&nbsp; Little did I know that artificial sweeteners make you crave sweets. So, cookies and other foods high in sugar were always in my shopping cart.&nbsp; Heart problems had caused additional fatigue and a regimen of daily medications.&nbsp; No exercise, of course.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>In short, I was overweight, listless, and pretty miserable.</strong><br><br>Since joining the program, all of my bad habits are gone.&nbsp; I have lost 28 pounds, and have&nbsp;<strong>eliminated all but one of my medications</strong>&nbsp;&#8211; and that’s a cholesterol drug which I will not need very soon.&nbsp; I am exercising again and have lots of energy.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Aches and pains have disappeared</strong>, and even my posture has improved. The benefits of regular blood testing with accompanying supplements cannot be underestimated, but I strongly believe it was eliminating the bad habits that has meant the most to my transformation.<br></p>

<p>Over the past 30-years, I have tried dozens of fad diets and approaches to losing weight.&nbsp; Looking back, none of them were really focused on my overall health, nor did they promote a change in the way I thought about and interacted with food.</p>



<p>Upon attending a seminar with Dr. Dangovian, in early 2018, the ‘light-bulb’ went off for me and his messages about food and the approach of the Wellness Training Institute made perfect sense to me.&nbsp; I finally realized that my approaches to managing my food intake and overall health were not only ineffective but also detrimental to my overall health and well-being.&nbsp; I also realized that this is a tough ‘battle’ to win, as so much of what we see in the media, and have learned over the years about healthy-eating, are not designed to support solid nutritional behaviors, but instead are designed to promote the sale of specific food items (I use the term food loosely here as we have learned that many items found today in the local grocery store are not food as your body cannot recognize or use them as fuel).</p>



<p>My wife and I made the decision that the time had come and if we really wanted to achieve a healthier lifestyle, and wanted to diminish the risks associated with poor health such as Obesity, High-Cholesterol, Type 2 Diabetes, Joint Pain, Stroke, and Heart issues, then we needed to make a change in our total approach to our health.&nbsp; The Wellness Training Institute has laid out a very clear path to a healthier and happier life for both of us.&nbsp; Together we have fully embraced the tenets of the program, and not just undertaken a diet, but for the first time in our lives have made a choice to change our habits and behaviors.&nbsp; Since the start of the program in mid-Summer 2018, we have fully embraced the plan and followed the script.&nbsp; We find that we now make completely different choices when it comes to food and fueling our bodies.&nbsp; Although we eat out often, we have been able to apply the things we have learned, and we make great choices with regards to what we order, and maybe more importantly, what we consciously decide to avoid.&nbsp; Every day is not easy, as there are items that we still crave, but we have learned to replace those unhealthy items with choices that are fulling and gratifying.&nbsp; Neither Denise nor I&nbsp;are&nbsp;planning on adopting a Vegan or even Vegetarian lifestyle, but we have embraced a substantial increase in the number of vegetables and fruits we eat, with limited (organic) animal proteins on occasion.&nbsp; I have also opted to eliminate Dairy, Gluten/Carbohydrates, and Alcohol from my life.</p>



<p>Over the past 6 months, I have lost a total of 75lbs, while Denise has lost 15lbs.&nbsp; This seems incredible to me as for the first 4 months, I had a broken foot and could do little to no exercise.&nbsp; The weight just came off naturally as I provided better fuel for my body along with eliminating items that added no nutritional value.&nbsp; I have begun to exercise again and feel great on a daily basis.&nbsp; My joints don’t ache anymore, Denise claims my snoring has been substantially reduced, and my bloodwork has shown drastic improvements in all areas.&nbsp; My overall energy level has dramatically improved and I enjoy my new found healthy lifestyle.&nbsp; I was fortunate that I was not taking any medications prior to starting the program to manage any ‘illnesses’, and now I am confident that I can avoid having to start taking medications to manage issues created by my poor food/health choices.</p>



<p>If you are thinking about starting this program, it is a great commitment to your personal health and well-being.&nbsp; It does take focus and mindfulness on a daily basis and will work for you if you are willing to adopt the tactics and strategies identified by the staff members of the Wellness Training Institute.&nbsp; The support of Dr. Dangovian and his entire staff has been superb, and we enjoy that we now consider a number of the team as our friends.</p>

<p>I joined this program not sure of what to expect.I thought I could do the program for 6 months. 6 months of my life… not that long. I could do that.Well, it changed my life.I lost forty pounds. My digestive problems went away. I no longer needed anti-inflammatory drugs. Decreased my other medications.I did yoga! I learned a new way to eat and a whole lot more. <p>Amy&#8217;s Success StoryI originally came here for my father who was seeing Dr. Dangovian.We went to a dinner seminar and I thought that maybe this can help me. I had been thinking about going plant-based because of my family’s heart and cancer history. I thought I knew a lot&#8230; OH was I wrong!!Dr. Dangovian and Nicole felt they could help me. My blood work numbers weren&#8217;t too bad but after doing the program and paying attention to my body, my numbers got even better. My thyroid medication was lowered and hopefully one day I will be off it.I work in a dental office and longtime patients even asked me what I had been doing because my skin looked so nice. I have so much energy in the mornings now and look forward to getting out of bed and starting my day.There is so much to explore out there with food, health, and the Wellness Training Institute has and will always be there to help me with questions and struggles. It wasn&#8217;t always easy, but the staff is always there for you with a smile and encouraging word. <p>First step, I went to the wellness dinner seminar.</p>
<p>Like anyone looking into this program I was skeptical that they could deliver lasting results. Most of what Dr. Dangovian spoke about I had already had researched or had personal experience with. Although I knew the problems, solutions were eluding me.</p>
<p>The Wellness program claimed to have the answers I was looking for. I can say, with the results outlined above, they have backed up their claims.</p>
<p>Best advice I can give is to keep an open mind. I had tried diets, cleanses, and workout programs with minimal success. Once into the program it became clear this was different. <strong>I consider it a complete mind- body lifestyle modification. I learned that no single part of the program alone would be successful.</strong> This is why attempts on my own without putting all of the pieces together ultimately failed.</p>
<p>As I have completed the program, the knowledge I have been given is life changing. The thing that impresses me most about this program is the constant learning of the staff. They are all over the country looking into any open possibilities to improve their program. I can only say I am a little jealous for the new people starting this program and the new things that have yet to be learned and introduced into the program. I guess I would encourage Dr. Dangovian and Nicole to have a one or two session program for those of us that have graduated the program to bring us up to date on new information they have gathered. I know I will be watching the website for any new information.</p>
<p>Lastly this program would not be successful without the staff that Dr. Dangovian and Nicole have put together. They are there for anything that may come up. One on one sessions, answering any and all questions, and giving support was outstanding. I could ramble on for pages on this topic so I will simply leave it with the following statement.</p>
<p>“In my opinion this program is successful due to the staff at the Wellness Training Institute.”</p>

<p>A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. For many years, my wife (Lois) and I (Paul) have sought to change our lifestyle and become healthier. Her goal was weight loss and less body pain, mine was to lose weight and become physically active. We both have tried Atkins, Body for Life and various forms of exercising with minimal results. In March, after a visit with Dr. Dangovian, Louis wanted to attend a wellness seminar. At first, I was skeptical but went along. The information presented was logical and supported by many of the articles we have been researching. I surprised her by agreeing to the program. The results we were achieving validated everything we were being taught. I have lost over 30 lbs. and Lois has lost 10-15 lbs. We are addicted to Yoga. Maintaining is now the challenge. As humans, we have weakness and are taking the journey one day at a time. Strange how you realize Coke and buttered popcorn do not taste good after all, or that dairy is what has been causing you issues. We look forward to continuing the adventure.</p>

<p><strong>DAN’S WAY</strong></p>
<p>I’m sure my life’s journey of experiences and consequences will sound familiar to most. Fortunately, I continue to learn and press on.</p>
<p>I grew up with the four food groups, good parents, an honest outlook and strong work ethic. I was on my own at twenty and feeling healthy and indestructible. After twenty, my diet was mostly quick food that was far unhealthier than I knew. That worked up to about age forty.</p>
<p>I started noticing that my clothes were shrinking, and my energy level was dropping. Cola continued to be a frequent pickup.</p>
<p>At age forty-eight, I developed RA and was struggling with a lot of joint pain. My blood pressure was up and my cholesterol was up and of course, my clothes weren’t shrinking. I just got fat. I remember my primary care doctor commenting to me that I had turned into an old man. I started seeing a Specialist for RA and ended up on two nasty drugs that controlled my RA issues. Then came acid reflux and another drug and then another drug so I could pee.</p>
<p>What I wasn’t getting was a direction that I could take to reverse my problems. I started thinking that my life would be much shorter than I thought when I was twenty.</p>
<p>Over time I read about this apparent miracle drug or that miracle diet, but nothing sounded right to me. I even read about leaky gut which made sense for me, but I still assumed it was more garbage dumped on unhealthy people like me.</p>
<p>One day a few months ago I read an article about a Health and Wellness program developed by a heart doctor. This seemed like something that could help. I was definitely ready to act if I just knew what to do.</p>
<p>I went to the seminar and listened. It all made sense to me. I invested financially, emotionally, and physically. I wasn’t sure I would improve so I told no one. I didn’t want to be embarrassed if I failed AGAIN.</p>
<p>I have lost twenty pounds since starting the program and my blood pressure is now in the “Normal” range. My cholesterol is improving and I’m learning to like food that is actually good for me.</p>
<p>I go to Yoga twice a week and learn basic body movement that I find very helpful in improving my health. In Yoga class, I’m just another older person trying to do my best to learn and improve myself. I listen to my health coach, continue to attend group meetings, individual meetings, and I continue to do my best.</p>
<p>I can’t say it’s easy. It’s not. I think I will crave junk food forever but I really want to be healthier so I will continue to focus. I see this as a struggle that will last the rest of my life so I’m being honest with myself. To use a quote from the “Equalizer”, PROGRESS NOT PERFECTION. I’m now sixty and my life outlook has greatly improved. I now hope to live long enough and stay healthy enough to become a genuine old man.</p>
<p>I WILL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AND I WILL SUCCEED.</p>
